Maryna Ovtsynova, the President of ALLATRA, and a student at Harvard Kennedy School, presented a detailed analysis of climate conditions during an interview with Azerbaijan’s Trend news agency. She stated the urgent necessity for worldwide collaboration, asserting that global climate disasters are escalating at an alarming rate. “We are already witnessing stronger hurricanes in the U.S., and climate disasters are escalating around the world at an alarming rate. This is a dire reality that humanity must acknowledge,” she remarked, emphasizing the lack of investment in climate initiatives and the impending point of no return if actions are not taken promptly. In her address to Azerbaijani media outlet CBC, Ms. Ovtsynova expressed optimism that COP29 would bring much-needed attention to humanity’s considerable challenges. “I believe that this event (COP29) will help draw attention to the enormous challenges facing humanity.
