The Prime Minister will then proceed to Brazil to attend the 19th G20 Summit as a Troika member. Mr. Modi noted India’s previous successful Presidency, which focused on the G20’s role in advancing the needs of the Global South. He remarked, “This year, Brazil has built upon India’s legacy. I look forward to meaningful discussions in keeping with our vision of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future.'” Following the Summit in Brazil, PM Modi will journey to Guyana at the invitation of President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana in more than 50 years. During this trip, he intends to discuss the future direction of bilateral ties and honor the Indian diaspora, which has thrived for over 185 years in the region. Lastly, PM Modi will engage with leaders from Caribbean partner nations during the 2nd India-CARICOM Summit, aimed at rejuvenating historical connections and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
