Launched in 2004, the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative aims to foster security collaboration between NATO and partner nations in the Gulf. It currently includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, marking two decades of partnerships this year. Established in 2017, the NIRC is dedicated to enhancing political dialogue, educational initiatives, and public diplomacy in the region.
