The international community, represented in the Security Council, has called for an end to hostilities, echoing the sentiments expressed by U.S. Ambassador Dorothy Shea, who stated, “The United States will consider all the tools at its disposal to hold accountable those responsible.” Furthermore, Kenya’s President William Ruto urged for an immediate cessation of violence and plans to convene an extraordinary summit of the East African Community.
