Iran Declares Achievement in Nuclear Science Mastery Under AEOI Chief
The head of the AEOI, Mohammad Eslami, declared that Iran has achieved mastery in nuclear science and ranks among 18 countries with a recognized nuclear industry. TEHRAN – The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, announced that Iran has achieved comprehensive mastery in nuclear science, now ranking among the 18 nations with a recognized nuclear industry. This statement was made during his visit to Qom, where he met with senior clerics to discuss Iran’s advancements in nuclear technology that extend beyond electricity generation.
Eslami stated that despite global opposition and stringent monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran’s nuclear energy program has equaled that of developed countries. He said, “Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has full mastery of nuclear science and is among the select group of 18 countries with an established nuclear industry.”
The AEOI chief pointed out that Iran’s progress has been hindered by resistance from hegemonic powers, resulting in extensive inspections by the IAEA. He indicated that such challenges have not deterred Iran’s development in its nuclear sector, attributing successes to the dedication and expertise of Iranian scientists, as well as the guidance of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Eslami emphasized that the applications of nuclear technology in Iran extend to healthcare, particularly cancer treatment, and environmental conservation. He also highlighted the significant growth of Iran’s nuclear industry over its 50-year history, which now employs over 25,000 specialists and oversees several affiliated companies.
During discussions, senior religious leaders in Qom expressed their approval for Iran’s peaceful nuclear energy development. They recognized the importance of leveraging the nation’s resources, including nuclear technology and a talented workforce, to foster national advancement while promoting continued investment in both peaceful nuclear and scientific technologies.
