Tomás Talarico has been appointed the new Managing Director of Warner Music Southern Cone, responsible for overseeing operations in Argentina and Chile. Talarico steps into this role following the esteemed Guillermo Castellani, who has transitioned to a consulting position within the company. Talarico, who is based in Buenos Aires, will report directly to Alejandro Duque, the President of Warner Music Latin America.

Before joining Warner Music, Talarico founded and led the independent music label MOJO, where he successfully managed a team of over 30 employees across Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Under his leadership, MOJO played a pivotal role in the growth of tropical and urban music genres and collaborated with approximately 150 artists and labels. The label has achieved recognition by securing more than 50 Gold and Platinum certified singles and receiving accolades such as the Gardel Awards and Pulsar Awards.

Talarico is recognized for his significant contributions to the careers of various rising artists, including ECKO, Grupo Zumbale Primo, Kaleb Di Masi, and others. His notable project, Un Poco de Ruido, achieved the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s Argentine chart last year. His background as a musician supplements his industry expertise, as he has released five albums in rock and pop.

Prior to founding MOJO, Talarico made a mark in the digital music sector when he worked for companies selling MP3s and ringtones. His career began at Tower Records, where he held the position of Supervisor. Alejandro Duque commended Talarico’s entrepreneurial spirit and ability to merge music and technology, stating, “Tomás has an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of cultural curiosity that make him an incredible fit to Warner Music.”

In expressing his appreciation for Castellani’s contributions, Duque noted, “I also want to take this opportunity to thank Guillermo for his incredible contribution and tireless work over many years… I’m delighted he’ll be working with Tomás through a leadership transition.”

Talarico expressed his enthusiasm for joining Warner Music and acknowledged the incredible opportunity it presents to support the region’s talent: “To be able to tap into the resources of a major label to superserve the exceptional talent in this region is an incredible opportunity.”

Guillermo Castellani also conveyed his gratitude and well-wishes for Talarico, stating, “I wish Tomás success in writing the following chapter in the Southern Cone. I am sure that he will lead Warner Music in its continuous growth…” He acknowledged his fulfilling career and the importance of collaboration in achieving their collective goals.

In summary, Tomás Talarico’s appointment as Managing Director of Warner Music Southern Cone signals a new chapter for the company in Argentina and Chile. With his proven track record at MOJO and a commitment to fostering local talent, Talarico aims to build upon the foundations laid by Guillermo Castellani. His entrepreneurial outlook and strategic vision will be pivotal for Warner Music’s growth and influence in the region’s music landscape.
