Italian Community in Guinea Meets with Embassy Staff at Conakry Gathering

The Italian community in Guinea gathered with Embassy staff for an event at the Ambassador’s residence. This meeting was the first of its kind in Conakry and aimed to strengthen community relations and support for Italians in Guinea.
A gathering took place at the residence of the Italian Ambassador in Conakry, welcoming all members of the Italian and Italo-Guinean community who are registered with AIRE or currently present in Guinea. Ambassador Tarek Chazli, who recently assumed office on January 7, 2025, introduced the Embassy and AICS staff to the attendees, marking the event as the first of its kind in Conakry.
Additionally, Dr. Alessia Quartetti, the head of the Consular Chancellery in Dakar, addressed the community alongside Ambassador Chazli. The meeting served as an important occasion to update Italians on various consular matters, including the upcoming referendum elections scheduled for spring. Furthermore, they discussed new collaborative efforts between the Italian Embassy in Conakry and the one in Dakar aimed at enhancing services for Italians residing in Guinea.
