Cameroon Allocates US$167 Million for Key Road Upgrades
Cameroon is investing US$167 million to upgrade four key roads. Funds will be allocated for roads in Lékié, Mbalmayo to Sangmelima, Up Hill to Amour Mezam, and Mora to Tchakamari. Additionally, over $85 million will be used for ten more road upgrades, enhancing 1,337km of dirt roads at a cost of $66.3 million. The Cameroonian government has allocated US$167 million for the upgrading of four significant roads throughout the nation. The Ministry of Public Works (Mintp) will fund the maintenance of a road in Lékié, as well as the route connecting Mbalmayo and Sangmelima in the Centre-South Region. Additionally, the Mintp will provide funds for the road between Up Hill and Amour Mezam in the North-West Region, along with the Mora to Tchakamari road in the Far North Region.
Alongside this initiative, more than $85 million will support ten additional road maintenance and upgrade projects across Cameroon.
