During his engagement, Undersecretary Silli met with Peru’s Minister and Deputy Minister for Vulnerable Populations, Fanny Esther Montellanos Carbajal and Carlos Jesus Vilela del Carpio, specifically to explore avenues for cooperation regarding international adoptions—an area where fruitful collaboration between the nations already exists. This dialogue was timely, coinciding with the upcoming international seminar titled ‘Adoption: an interdisciplinary look,’ organized collaboratively with Peru’s Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations.
The Undersecretary also convened with Peru’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador John Peter Camino Cannock, to address matters concerning regional and international policies. A noteworthy highlight of the visit was his meeting with Rafael Lopez Aliaga Cazorla, the Mayor of Lima Metropolitana, who honored Silli with the Medal of the City of Lima.
