African Foreign Ministers Commit to Strengthening Ties with Ethiopia

We continue to explore means and ways of expanding our areas of cooperation.”
Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, stressed the historical bond between Liberia and Ethiopia, indicating that their relationship dates back centuries. She acknowledged the shared interests in vital sectors such as transportation, health, education, and agriculture, and noted, “We have to work on strengthening the bilateral relationship with Ethiopia.”
Zambia’s Foreign Minister, Mulambo Haimbe, called for deeper diplomatic and economic partnerships between the countries, emphasizing the importance of multilateral collaboration. He remarked on Ethiopia’s significant role in African independence, pointing out, “Ethiopia is an icon on the African continent because you have never been colonized.”
