Inaugurated on February 27, 2025, by the Honorable Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, Paul C. By replacing archaic systems with the sophisticated Government Service Bus (GSB) framework, ZIMIS enhances the mining licensing process, mitigates corruption risks, and promotes improved collaboration among government agencies. This initiative aligns with the National Mineral Resources Development Policy, with an ambitious goal of increasing copper production to 3 million metric tonnes by the year 2031, thereby positioning Zambia as a frontrunner in the global critical minerals market.
