This week, over 80 experts convened at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London to address the urgent issues at the intersection of food security and climate finance, in light of dwindling global development budgets. The roundtable discussion was organized by the Commonwealth Secretariat in conjunction with the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science & Technology. In her pre-recorded opening remarks, Commonwealth Secretary-General The Rt. Hon Patricia Scotland KC emphasized the pressing nature of these challenges, citing the need for enhanced resource mobilization for climate adaptation and resilience.

The roundtable highlighted the critical integration of climate finance with food security initiatives, emphasizing the necessity of innovation and collaboration among nations.
