At the UNHRC session, Kuwait’s Ambassador Naser Abdullah Al-Hayen urged the international community to protect Palestinian rights. He condemned Israel’s violations of international law, highlighted humanitarian crises in Gaza and the West Bank, and reaffirmed Kuwait’s support for a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva, Ambassador Naser Abdullah Al-Hayen, called upon the international community to fulfill its duty to safeguard the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. During the UN Human Rights Council’s 58th session, he emphasized the critical need to halt hostilities in the occupied Palestinian territories and ensure the unimpeded distribution of humanitarian aid.

Ambassador Al-Hayen expressed deep concern regarding Israel’s ongoing violations of International Humanitarian Law and the UN Charter. He highlighted the escalating atrocities in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, particularly noting the severe destruction of infrastructure and forced evictions in Jenin refugee camp. Kuwait firmly opposes the application of double standards in humanitarian matters.

He reiterated Kuwait’s steadfast support for establishing an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, aligned with the UN resolutions and the Arab peace initiative. This principled stance underscores Kuwait’s commitment to a just resolution for the Palestinian people.

Kuwait’s appeal at the UNHRC underscores the urgent need for global action in protecting Palestinian rights and ceasing hostilities. The ambassador’s remarks highlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis and advocate for an independent Palestinian state as a solution to the conflict.
