Minister Urges Collaboration Between Government and Labor Unions in Ghana

During the discussion regarding ongoing industrial disputes, the Minister stressed the need for both public and private sector employers to uphold workers’ rights. He remarked, “They also have the responsibility to do what is right because we want to have a peaceful environment to operate so that all parties will be happy.” Mr. Nelson reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating closely with the TUC to support their efforts.

In response, Mr. Hanson expressed his gratitude to the Minister for the meeting and emphasized the importance of establishing a fruitful working relationship with labor unions during Mr. Nelson’s tenure. He also requested the Minister’s assistance in securing a permanent office space for the TUC in Sekondi-Takoradi to facilitate their operations more effectively.
