On February 28, 2025, Abu Dhabi hosted the inaugural session of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This significant meeting was co-chaired by Lana Nusseibeh, the Assistant Minister for Political Affairs of the UAE, and Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs. Attending the political consultations were Saif Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Iran, Reza Ameri, the Iranian Ambassador to the UAE, along with senior officials from both nations.
