In southern Lebanon, Minister of Public Works Fayez Rasamny, alongside Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Ministers of Environment and Energy, conducted an inspection tour of villages affected by war. This visit illuminated the significant destruction endured by the area, showcasing both the vast devastation and the remarkable resilience of its inhabitants.
Rasamny expressed, “The very air of the south carries a scent of history—one of resilience and pride. It stirs the soul and awakens within us a profound sense of belonging and responsibility.” He highlighted that in this region, sacrifice and steadfastness are real experiences, affirming that patriotism acts as a driving force despite the local hardships.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to recovery, ensuring that all available resources would be committed to aiding southern residents. Rasamny stated, “You are the heartbeat of this land, and with your determination, it will rise again—stronger, more vibrant, and more beautiful than before.”
