Libyan Officials Address Labor Visa System for Egyptian Workers

Libyan Labor Minister Ali Al-Abed and Abdul Muttalib Thabet discussed the activation of a labor visa system for the official entry of Egyptian workers. Major General Youssef Murad assured readiness for security checks on visa applications. The meeting aimed to strengthen labor market organization and cooperation with Egypt for economic benefit.

Ali Al-Abed, the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in Libya, emphasized the urgent need to activate the labor visa system for the organized entry of Egyptian workers through official channels. This statement was made during his meeting with Abdul Muttalib Thabet, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Libyan Embassy in Egypt. Their discussion aimed to facilitate the entry of Egyptian workers into Libya in alignment with the market’s requirements.

The meeting included Major General Youssef Murad, the Director of the Passports, Nationality and Foreigners Affairs Authority, along with various ministry officials. This gathering is part of ongoing efforts to regulate the labor market and protect the national economy. Major General Murad reiterated the authority’s commitment to conducting security checks on visa applications and supplying necessary data to relevant authorities for the orderly entry of workers.

All participants recognized the necessity of enhancing coordination among various entities to regulate workers’ entry in compliance with legal frameworks. The goal is to promote the interests of Libya’s national economy and strengthen collaborative ties with allied nations.
