The Zim-Israel Connect initiative aims to enhance spiritual and economic collaboration between Zimbabwe and Israel. During the launch, Ronny Levi Musan emphasized the significant spiritual ties and proposed initiatives to foster online church services and pilgrimages to Israel. Action for Empowerment Zimbabwe’s president, Alson Darikayi, highlighted the cooperative pillars including cultural exchanges and business opportunities.
The Zim-Israel Connect initiative was launched in Harare to strengthen collaboration between Zimbabwe and Israel, emphasizing spiritual and economic ties. Ronny Levi Musan, the Israeli consul for Zimbabwe, articulated the profound connection that Bible believers have with Israel, stating that it serves as a spiritual beacon for churches worldwide. He noted that without this connection, churches are merely community centers devoid of deeper significance.
Musan highlighted the importance of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s belief in God and expressed how their meeting reinforced a unique bond between the two nations that extends beyond changing diplomatic relations. His attendance at the launch of the Zim-Israel Connect aimed to draw Israel closer to the hearts of Zimbabweans on both spiritual and material levels.
On the spiritual front, Musan aims to establish the Israel-Zimbabwe Online Church, which will deliver spiritual messages directly to individuals across Zimbabwe, regardless of their location. He also encourages pilgrimages to the Holy Land, promising transformative experiences for participants.
In terms of economic collaboration, Musan is committed to fostering partnerships in various technological fields including agriculture, communication, education, and information security, thereby introducing Israeli advancements into Zimbabwe. The launch is seen as an opportunity to cultivate spiritual and material innovation among the Zimbabwean populace.
Alson Darikayi, president of Action for Empowerment Zimbabwe (AEZ), acknowledged the significance of the Zim-Israel Connect platform in promoting cooperation between the two nations. He identified three core areas of collaboration: spiritual exchanges, coordination of pilgrimages, and the establishment of a Zim-Israel Chamber of Commerce to facilitate bilateral trade and investment opportunities.
Darikayi also emphasized AEZ’s commitment to enhancing economic empowerment, social justice, and community development. Their ongoing programs and interventions aim to provide access to business opportunities, funding sources, and national resources, impacting thousands of lives positively while reinforcing their dedication to this essential work.
The launch of the Zim-Israel Connect initiative signifies a pivotal moment in enhancing Zimbabwe-Israel relations. This collaboration is focused on both spiritual growth through connections to the Holy Land and material advancement in various economic sectors. By fostering cooperation in religious exchanges and business opportunities, the initiative aims to bring substantial benefits to the people of Zimbabwe.
