Galileo Resources PLC has identified new drill targets in Botswana’s Kalahari Copperbelt, in licenses PL039/2018 and PL040/2018, following a successful Induced Polarisation geophysical survey. Chairman Colin Bird expressed optimism about the potential of these targets based on previous geological data and the upcoming drill program. The company plans to conduct geochemical analysis on previous drill core to assess copper mineralization further.

Galileo Resources PLC (AIM:GLR) has announced the identification of new drill targets within Botswana’s Kalahari Copperbelt, specifically in its licences PL039/2018 and PL040/2018. An Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysical survey has revealed significant anomalies along all five surveyed lines, indicating promising areas for further exploration.

According to Colin Bird, Chairman and Chief Executive of Galileo, prior work has already identified anomalies through soil geochemical surveys, especially near the southeastern margin of the Kalahari Copperbelt. The recent follow-up surveys have provided well-defined targets, supporting the company’s decision to advance towards a drill program.

Bird emphasized, “The latest results provide powerful motivation to pursue the newly confirmed geophysical targets with vigor.” He also noted that they anticipate providing shareholders with further updates following the impending approval of the drill program by the Galileo board. Furthermore, geochemical analyses of previous drill cores will play a crucial role in confirming the presence and extent of copper mineralization as the company prepares for its next drilling campaign.

In summary, Galileo Resources has successfully identified new drilling targets in Botswana’s Kalahari Copperbelt, leveraging advanced geophysical surveys. The company’s previous exploration work laid the foundation for these findings, and there is strong motivation to proceed with drilling plans. Shareholders can expect timely updates as the exploration progresses.
