Fintech transactions within the country surged by 33.4% in the first quarter of 2024, totaling GH₵576.03 billion according to the Bank of Ghana. Additionally, the country reported having 73 million registered mobile money accounts by year’s end, highlighting the success of mobile financial solutions in promoting financial services.

Ghana has established itself as a pivotal fintech hub in Africa, showcasing innovative startups such as Fido, Oze, SecondSTAX, Affinity Africa, and Zeepay. These companies are at the forefront of advancements in payments and lending. Moreover, mobile money services from companies like MTN (MoMo), Vodafone (Vodafone Cash), and AT Ghana (ATMoney) have significantly contributed to enhancing financial inclusion and driving digital transactions.
