India and Belgium Set to Finalize Defence Cooperation Pact

Belgium and India are set to finalize a defence cooperation agreement by year-end to strengthen their military and industrial ties. Although the Belgian side refrained from directly addressing the geopolitical situation surrounding Ukraine in discussions with India, Prévot affirmed Belgium’s commitment to supporting Ukraine. He expressed the necessity for unity within the European Union while ensuring a focus on strategic autonomy in defence matters, alluding to the ongoing complexities in the global security landscape.
