The discussions extended to include the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Jonathan Reynolds, during which Mr. Jaishankar revisited the progress being made in free trade agreement negotiations between India and the UK. He conveyed his satisfaction regarding the advancement of these talks.
As indicated by the Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Jaishankar’s official visit to the UK and Ireland will continue until March 9, with an agenda aimed at rejuvenating India’s amicable relations with both countries. He is expected to meet his Irish counterpart Simon Harris and other dignitaries during his scheduled visit to Ireland on March 6 and 7.
