Martha Korok is one of only four female nurses in the Boma area. She serves as a mentor within the MSF Academy and is deeply passionate about empowering women and girls through education. She is proud to be part of the shift in gender roles within nursing.

Susan James Jokudu, a warehouse supervisor in Juba, reflects on her challenging upbringing as a refugee and her subsequent journey through education. Although she aspired to be a doctor, she pursued logistics and joined MSF driven by the desire to make a difference. As a supervisor, she challenges stereotypes associated with women’s roles within logistics, encouraging young women to break barriers that limit their potential. Susan remains dedicated to furthering her education and striving for international opportunities within MSF.
