Oriole Resources’ Mbe Gold Project Showcases Significant Potential in Cameroon

Oriole Resources’ Cameroonian Mbe gold project shows ‘significant potential’ following positive drilling results, particularly from holes MBDD003 and MBDD004. Drilling is over 30% complete, confirming gold mineralization over a considerable strike length. The partnership with BCM International facilitates a fully funded maiden drilling program, with further promising results anticipated in 2025.
Oriole Resources (AIM: ORR) has reported significant findings from its Mbe gold project in Cameroon, underscoring the project’s considerable potential. CEO Martin Rosser expressed his satisfaction with these results, noting the program’s positive indicators.
Prominent results include drill hole MBDD003, which revealed a high-grade gold intersection of 4.24 meters at 7.7 grams per tonne (g/t), including 1.72 meters at 18 g/t. Rosser remarked, “We are very pleased with these latest results… which continue to highlight the project’s tremendous potential,” reflecting the excitement surrounding the ongoing drilling campaign.
The ongoing drilling campaign at the MB01-S target has achieved over 30% completion, with approximately 2,200 meters drilled across seven holes. Initial findings confirm gold mineralization extending for a strike length of at least 200 meters, reaching a vertical depth of around 290 meters.
Drill hole MBDD004, although yielding fewer gold intersections than anticipated, including 3.00 meters at 0.99 g/t and 4.60 meters at 0.53 g/t, contributed valuable structural data necessary for refining the geological model. Rosser stated that gathering geological structural information was a primary objective of the drilling approach.
Oriole Resources has completed two more drill holes and a third is currently in progress, with additional results expected in the second quarter of 2025. The exploration strategy now focuses on high-grade zones within broader, lower-grade gold envelopes, utilizing new data to refine the project’s potential.
The company maintains a 90% stake in the Mbe project and is executing a fully funded maiden drilling program in partnership with BCM International. BCM is investing up to $4 million in exploration to increase its interest in the project. Rosser remains optimistic about ongoing drilling, stating that forthcoming results will further substantiate the potential for substantial gold mineralization.
In summary, Oriole Resources is demonstrating the significant potential of its Mbe gold project in Cameroon through promising drilling results. The company continues to refine its geological model while maintaining a strategic partnership with BCM International. The anticipated ongoing results are expected to reinforce the prospect of valuable gold mineralization in the region.
