Oriole Resources Sees “Strong Potential” in Mbe Gold Project in Cameroon

Oriole Resources PLC announced positive drilling results from its Mbe gold project in Cameroon, confirming strong potential for high-grade gold mineralization. Key findings include 4.24 meters at 7.7 grams per tonne gold from hole MBDD003. The ongoing drilling campaign has revealed significant gold intersections, aiding the refinement of the geological model. Oriole is collaborating with BCM International, holding 90% of the project, with further results anticipated in mid-2025.
Oriole Resources PLC has expressed optimism regarding the Mbe gold project in Cameroon, following significant drilling results. Martin Rosser, the Chief Executive of Oriole Resources, highlighted a noteworthy intersection within hole MBDD003, which revealed 4.24 meters grading at 7.7 grams of gold per tonne, including a remarkable 1.72 meters at 18 grams per tonne. These findings strengthen the project’s promising outlook and indicate multiple zones of lower-grade gold mineralization.
The current drilling campaign at the MB01-S target has progressed past 30%, with 2,200 meters completed across seven holes. The findings thus far have confirmed gold mineralization extending through a strike length of at least 200 meters, with vertical depth reaching around 290 meters. Notably, hole MBDD004 also yielded several gold intersections, contributing to the overall structural understanding of the geological model, despite offering comparatively lower grades.
While hole MBDD004 did not meet initial grade expectations, it offered vital geological insights through the scissor hole exploration method. This approach aims to refine Oriole’s geological model and drilling protocols as the program advances. As a result, Oriole continues to target high-grade gold zones and optimize its exploration strategy based on the accumulating data.
In partnership with BCM International, Oriole Resources is carrying out a fully funded maiden drilling program, holding 90% of the Mbe project. BCM International has secured an initial 10% interest and may increase its stake by up to 40% through further investment in exploration. The company eagerly anticipates the release of additional results as drilling activities progress.
In summary, Oriole Resources is encouraged by the latest drilling results from the Mbe gold project, which demonstrate significant potential for gold mineralization. With ongoing drilling and a robust partnership with BCM International, the company is refining its geological understanding and exploration strategies. Exciting discoveries could be on the horizon as further results are expected in the upcoming quarter.
