ECARX Holdings Inc., a global mobility technology provider, announced it has been awarded a contract by the Volkswagen Group to supply advanced digital cockpit solutions for vehicles marketed under the Volkswagen and Skoda brands worldwide. The deployment will initiate with these vehicles set to launch in Brazil and India, targeting future market expansions thereafter.
The digital cockpit solution will encompass the ECARX Antora 1000 computing platform and the ECARX Cloudpeak software framework. The Antora 1000 integrates 7nm SE1000 System-on-Chip technology from SiEngine, providing a fourth-generation platform designed for high performance. Meanwhile, Cloudpeak is a modular system based on Android Automotive and Linux, supporting various essential services such as Google Maps and voice control through Google Assistant, among others.
Developed entirely in-house, both the Antora 1000 operating system and the Cloudpeak software aim to deliver an efficient, compact solution aligned with an optimal user experience.
