CAN Praises Governor Bago for Reintroducing CRK in Niger Public Schools

Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, the Chairman of the Niger State Christian Association of Nigeria, commended Governor Bago for approving the reintroduction of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) in public schools. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman, Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, has praised Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for approving the return of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) in public schools throughout Niger State. Yohanna described the Governor as someone who genuinely cares for the welfare of all citizens, regardless of their faith.
Governor Bago announced this significant decision during a meeting with a delegation from the Christian community, which included State CAN Executive members and Hon. Afiniki Dauda, the Deputy Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly. The Governor emphasized that CRK is essential for instilling a sense of morality in children and combating the increasing prevalence of social vices.
In his commendation, Yohanna, who serves as the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, expressed that the reinstatement of CRK would enhance understanding and respect for different faiths. He noted, “the Governor’s approval for the reintroduction of CRK in public schools across the state will bring about understanding of the faith and mutual respect.”
