SPARK, alongside EYouth and Google.org, launched the Maharat for Tourism E-Learning Hub in Egypt, offering free training in essential skills for tourism professionals. SPARK, in collaboration with EYouth and supported by Google.org, has inaugurated the Maharat for Tourism E-Learning Hub in Egypt. This initiative is designed to provide free, high-quality training for tourism professionals, focusing on essential competencies such as digital skills, business management, and customer service, which are necessary for maintaining competitiveness in the job market. The hub plays a crucial role in bolstering Egypt’s economic resilience and generating employment opportunities within the vital tourism sector.

The launch event was held at Cairo’s Triumph Plaza Hotel, attracting over 100 stakeholders, including business leaders, digital learning experts, and representatives from Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism. The Ministry acknowledges its responsibility in modernizing workforce training to ensure the sustainability of the industry in the long term.

Dina Almasaeid, SPARK’s Regional Programme Director, expressed pride in the initiative, stating that it will empower thousands of individuals to acquire important skills for success in the tourism sector.
