Zaria Set to Welcome Seven Federal Institutions in 2025 Budget

Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, announced that Zaria Federal Constituency will welcome seven additional federal institutions as part of the 2025 budget. This declaration was made during a Ramadan Iftar in Zaria, emphasizing the initiative’s purpose to establish Zaria as a center for higher education.
The institutions slated for development include the Federal College of Agriculture, the Federal Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Institute, a Federal Technical College, and a Centre for Management Development. Additionally, a Technology Incubation Centre, a School for the Disabled (encompassing both primary and secondary education), as well as four new federal secondary schools will also be established.
Tajudeen assured the constituents of forthcoming development projects aimed directly at benefiting the people in the 2025 fiscal year. He stated that, following the recent signing of the budget into law, funds for scholarships benefiting 2,500 indigent students will soon be disbursed. Moreover, an additional 4,000 students are set to be included in the scholarship scheme.
The Speaker expressed his gratitude for the continued support from his constituents, attributing it to his success within the National Assembly. He also called for prayers for President Bola Tinubu, asserting that such prayers are essential for addressing challenges like inflation and enhancing GDP growth. Furthermore, he noted a significant reduction in insecurity under the current administration’s comprehensive approach.
Alhaji Garba-Datti Babawo, the National Vice Chairman (North-West) of the All Progressives Congress, praised Tajudeen for promoting inclusivity among legislators across different party affiliations and regions.
