President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s official aircraft has successfully arrived in Saudi Arabia. The Airbus A319, operated by Ukraine Air Enterprise, departed from Rzeszów–Jasionka airfield in Poland at 12:02 PM Kyiv time and touched down at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah at 4:40 PM, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
Onboard the plane were President Zelenskyy, his Chief of Staff Andrii Yermak, Deputy Chief of Staff Pavlo Palisa, and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defence, Andrii Sybiha and Rustem Umierov, respectively. The flight path included airspace over several countries: Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Egypt, totaling a duration of 4 hours and 38 minutes in the air.
In a broader context, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio had arrived in Jeddah on March 9 to engage in bilateral discussions with Ukrainian representatives, led by Andrii Yermak. Additionally, Rubio is anticipated to be accompanied by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and former Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff. Witkoff indicated that the United States is looking for significant advancements in the upcoming talks with Ukraine on March 11 in Saudi Arabia.
