The Prime Minister of Mauritius, Navinchandra Ramgoolam, announced on Tuesday that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be awarded ‘The Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean’. This prestigious honour is a recognition of Modi’s significant contributions to the enhancement of relations between Mauritius and India.

During the same event, Prime Minister Modi granted Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards to Mauritian Prime Minister Ramgoolam and his wife, Veena Ramgoolam.
