FLSmidth has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Advanced Service Centre in Ghana, aiming to enhance productivity in the mining sector and support broader growth in West Africa. During the launch, FLSmidth Group CEO Mikko Keto emphasized Ghana’s solid mining expertise and stable business environment, which have significantly influenced the company’s decision to expand in the region. Keto remarked, “In the past, we’ve been too focused on South Africa. Now, we aim to be more present in Ghana to better support our customers.”
The service centre is expected to expedite equipment deliveries and enhance refurbishment processes, thus reducing lead times for mining firms. Keto elaborated, “This facility will serve as a stocking location for production spare parts, ensuring quicker deliveries across Ghana and West Africa.”
