Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) reaffirms its leadership in technology-based education during the 34th Matriculation Ceremony. On February 22, 2025, Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) reaffirmed its position as Ghana’s leading institution for technology-based education during its 34th Matriculation Ceremony. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, delivered a welcoming address to the newly enrolled students, celebrating the university’s dedication to excellence in ICT and business education and inspiring students for their new academic journey.

The Vice-Chancellor also noted GCTU’s achievement in obtaining accreditation from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for several new, innovative programs. These adaptations are designed to ensure that students acquire vital skills needed to succeed in the dynamic global job market.

The newly accredited undergraduate programs include diplomas in Cyber Security, Web Application Development, Multimedia Technology, Data Science and Analytics, as well as bachelor’s degrees in Data Science and Analytics, Internet of Things and Big Data, Network and Systems Administration, and E-Commerce and Marketing Management.

Additionally, the university offers various postgraduate programs such as MSc./MPhil. in Digital Marketing, MA in E-Business and Marketing Strategy, and MA in Human Resource Management with Informatics, among others.

Reaffirming GCTU’s commitment to excellence, Professor Afoakwa emphasized the institution’s mission to connect academia with industry, integrating innovative technological practices and hands-on experience throughout the curriculum.
