Logan McAllister achieved his inaugural Korn Ferry Tour title on Sunday at the Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank. He recorded an impressive score of 19-under 265 at the Prince of Wales Country Club, ultimately winning by one stroke against Davis Chatfield. McAllister, who started the final round trailing by three strokes, delivered a phenomenal performance with eight birdies, culminating in a dramatic birdie at the 17th hole.

This victory marks a significant milestone for McAllister, who secured his first win in his 60th start on the Korn Ferry Tour. His performance elevated him from No. 113 to No. 6 in the season-long Korn Ferry Tour Points List. The top 20 players at the conclusion of the season will gain membership for the 2026 PGA Tour, enhancing McAllister’s prospects for the future.

Starting his professional career with challenges, McAllister first joined the Korn Ferry Tour after finishing No. 3 in the 2022 PGA TOUR University Ranking. Following a difficult season in 2024, where he experienced a setback in his ranking, this latest victory confirmed his full status on the tour through 2026, alleviating concerns over his conditional status entering the season.

McAllister’s journey has been noteworthy, as he played alongside his former college teammates Chris Gotterup and Quade Cummins, both currently members of the PGA Tour. With this first title in hand, he is poised for further success in his career.

Other notable performances during the tournament included Davis Chatfield’s impressive bogey-free round of 5-under 66, which earned him a career-high finish. Korn Ferry Tour leader Hank Lebioda secured a top-three finish, reinforcing his position as the leader of the Points List. Rookie Kensei Hirata and Cole Hammer also achieved commendable finishes, contributing to a competitive leaderboard.

Logan McAllister’s victory at the Astara Chile Classic marks a turning point in his golfing career, demonstrating his resilience and talent. This achievement not only solidifies his position in the Korn Ferry Tour but also enhances his prospects for PGA TOUR membership. With enhanced full status and promising performances from his peers, McAllister’s future in professional golf looks bright.
