The relief campaign, launched by the UAE in October 2024 and supervised by the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, aimed to provide assistance to Lebanon amid significant challenges, including Israel’s military actions, which resulted in thousands of casualties and widespread displacement. By January, this initiative had raised approximately Dh200 million ($54.5 million) and successfully delivered 6,000 tonnes of aid to the Lebanese people affected by the conflict.
Contributions from the public included financial pledges to the Emirates Red Crescent and affiliated UAE banks, underscoring community involvement in the humanitarian efforts.
