In November 2022, a Kenyan military delegation discussed strengthening ties while in March, Qatar’s Prime Minister engaged with Ethiopian defense officials to bolster military relations during a defense conference.
Moreover, Field Marshal Berhanu has sought to forge partnerships with South Africa regarding military cooperation, while Ethiopia has previously secured a similar agreement with South Sudan after a meeting with military intelligence leaders. These ongoing efforts reflect Ethiopia’s proactive stance in fostering regional security through comprehensive military collaborations.
