UAE President Commends “UAE Stands with Lebanon” Initiative

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked the organisers of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign for their assistance to Lebanon during a reception in Abu Dhabi. The campaign raised nearly AED 190 million and collected large quantities of relief material, demonstrating the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian support. President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has expressed gratitude to the organisers of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” initiative during a recent reception held at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi. His Highness acknowledged their timely intervention in aiding Lebanon’s population amidst escalating violence in the region.

Launched in October 2024, the campaign concluded in January after raising approximately AED 190 million and collecting 6,000 tonnes of relief supplies. These vital resources were transported via 22 aircraft and two ships, demonstrating the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian assistance.

Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s dedication to providing support to those in need, irrespective of their location. He also praised the UAE community for their active participation, which significantly contributed to the campaign’s achievements.
