The 2025 Tunisian Golf Open will commence from March 20 to March 22 at The Residence Golf Course in Tunis. This tournament marks the continuation of the Alps Tour season following the Egypt Swing, and is the first of two events in the Tunisian Swing, the second being the 2025 La Cigale Golf Open scheduled for March 25 to March 27 at La Cigale Tabarka Golf Course.

In 2024, a partnership agreement was established, which has since resulted in Tunisia enhancing its engagement with the Alps Tour by introducing an additional tournament for 2025. This initiative has been made possible through collaboration with the Tunisian National Tourism Office (ONTT), The Residence Tunis, and La Cigale Tabarka Hôtel-Thalasso-Golf.

The Tunisian Golf Open, previously hosted at El Kantaoui in 2015 and 2016, relocated to La Cigale Tabarka Golf in 2024. This year, it showcases The Residence Golf Course for the first time, aiming to elevate Tunisia’s profile as a desirable golf destination.

Globally recognized golf courses such as The Residence Golf Course and La Cigale Tabarka Golf are integral to the Alps Tour, providing players with exceptional facilities. By including these prestigious locations, the Alps Tour not only benefits its reputation but also promotes Tunisia as a significant golf tourist hub.

Two Pro-Ams will occur before each tournament, beginning with the Tunisian Golf Open Pro-Am on March 19 at The Residence Golf Course, set to start at 12:30 p.m. with participation from 24 teams.

The field at the Tunisian Golf Open includes elite players from the 2025 Alps Tour Order of Merit, featuring notable talents such as Quentin Debove from France, Javier Barcos from Spain, and defending champion Gianmaria Rean Trinchero from Italy, among others. With participants from 20 nations, the event emphasizes the global diversity present in the Alps Tour.

Founded in 2001, the Alps Tour serves as both a competitive platform and a nurturing environment for emerging golf talents. It offers essential opportunities for players by providing access to the HotelPlanner Tour, which grants five cards to the top season performers, thus facilitating their advancement to higher competition levels.

The Residence Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones II, is a premier venue located in Gammarth, just outside Tunis. This 18-hole championship course spans over 6,870 yards and features a par-72 layout with beautiful Mediterranean views, challenging terrains, and a commitment to sustainability.

The 2025 Tunisian Golf Open is supported by institutional sponsors, including the Tunisian National Tourism Office and private sponsors such as KIA Motors. The La Cigale Golf Open by Alps Tour enjoys similar sponsorship support. Both events are promoted by Esports Concept.

The 2025 Tunisian Golf Open is an important event in the Alps Tour, enhancing Tunisia’s recognition as a premier golf destination. The edition showcases The Residence Golf Course for the first time and demonstrates the collaboration between various stakeholders to promote golf tourism in the region. By attracting top talents and global participation, the tournament highlights the Alps Tour’s role in developing golf on an international level.
