On March 12, 2023, Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam announced a Joint Vision Document developed with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This document aims to enhance the strategic partnership between Mauritius and India, advancing bilateral relations to a higher level.
At a Joint Press Conference, Prime Minister Ramgoolam emphasized their commitment to increasing cooperation across various sectors, including space research, artificial intelligence, digital health, ocean economy, pharmaceuticals, information and communication technology, financial technology, and cybersecurity.
Ramgoolam expressed his gratitude for PM Modi’s presence during the 57th National Day of Mauritius, suggesting that it symbolizes the strong ties shared between the two nations. He regarded Modi’s attendance as a testament to their unique relationship.
