Furthermore, strategies to enhance development projects and bolster the social welfare system were discussed to facilitate the Kingdom’s progress in alignment with Vision 2030 goals. Economic performance indicators and the Kingdom’s improved credit ratings were also reviewed, emphasizing ongoing structural reforms and economic diversification.
The Cabinet praised collaborative efforts with allied countries to combat drug smuggling networks, specifically commending Iraq’s Ministry of Interior for seizing 7 million amphetamine pills as a result of intelligence shared by Saudi authorities.
Authorizations were granted for various inter-ministerial agreements, including a MoU between the Ministries of Interior of Saudi Arabia and Egypt and another cultural cooperation MoU with Japan. Economic cooperation agreements were also established with Comoros, Iceland, and customs collaboration with Pakistan.
Additionally, agreements to facilitate air transport services with Suriname and Lithuania were approved, along with a collaboration project with UNICEF for conducting Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys. Lastly, the Cabinet authorized the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors to negotiate a MoU with its Malaysian counterpart focusing on internal auditing practices.
