Rashid Al-Janabi, the company’s director, highlighted that over the past decade, General Electric has contributed 19 gigawatts to the Iraqi electricity grid, alongside the establishment of over 30 substations. He noted that the collaboration with the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Electricity has significantly advanced the execution of essential projects dedicated to improving electricity stability.

Furthermore, Al-Janabi mentioned the initiation of a long-term maintenance agreement with the Ministry of Electricity, aimed at sustaining a 7-gigawatt electricity generation system in optimal condition for the upcoming summer months. The integration of state-of-the-art GE Vernova technologies is also in progress to enhance production efficiency and reduce carbon emissions by 30 percent through proposed upgrades.
