The German government has supplied 32 trucks to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation to enhance humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza. This support underscores vital international cooperation amid ongoing humanitarian crises, with Germany also providing medical supplies for field hospitals in the region.

On March 19, 2025, the German government delivered 32 additional trucks to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) in a gesture aimed at enhancing the humanitarian corridor to Gaza. This initiative is crucial for facilitating essential aid delivery to the war-affected region.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli expressed his sincere gratitude to Germany, stating that this contribution would significantly increase their capacity to provide necessary humanitarian assistance. He underscored the importance of international collaboration in responding to humanitarian crises.

German Ambassador to Jordan, Bertram von Moltke, referred to the Jordanian humanitarian corridor as “a lifeline for Gaza and its residents, who are in urgent need of aid.” He expressed optimism that Germany’s support would streamline the delivery of critical humanitarian assistance and praised the collaborative efforts between JHCO, the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF), and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

The JAF also facilitated the receipt of the seventh batch of medical aid from Germany, which consisted of vital medicines and medical equipment. This shipment will be utilized in Jordan’s field hospitals operating in Gaza.

Ambassador von Moltke noted that since 2023, German humanitarian aid has delivered approximately 16 tonnes of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to these field hospitals. In acknowledgment, Brigadier General Sahel Hammouri of the Royal Medical Services commended Germany’s ongoing support and reiterated the importance of international cooperation to provide effective medical care during humanitarian emergencies.

Germany’s provision of 32 trucks and additional medical supplies to Jordan highlights its commitment to humanitarian aid in Gaza. The collaborative efforts among various organizations underscore the significance of international solidarity in addressing urgent humanitarian needs, ensuring that vital assistance reaches those in distress. Jordan’s humanitarian corridor remains pivotal in supporting Gaza’s affected population.
