Massive protests in Morocco demanded an end to normalization with Israel and expressed solidarity with Palestine. Demonstrators filled cities like Rabat, Tangier, and Casablanca, calling for cessation of normalization amidst ongoing aggression against Palestinians. Organizations and student unions are advocating for stronger actions against normalization, reflecting deep public engagement with the Palestinian cause.

On Tuesday evening, significant protests erupted across major cities in Morocco, reflecting widespread public solidarity with Palestine and demands for the cessation of normalization between the Makhzen regime and Israel. Local media reported that demonstrators congregated in cities such as Tangier, Rabat, Fes, Casablanca, Berkane, and Agadir, chanting phrases like “The people want an end to normalization.”

Protesters showed their support by waving Palestinian flags and displaying banners denouncing Israel’s ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, firmly rejecting any normalization efforts. In Rabat, a large gathering took place outside Parliament where demonstrators underscored that the suffering of civilians in Gaza should not be manipulated for political gains.

Cities including Tangier, Fes, and Casablanca witnessed substantial crowds expressing their outrage at the actions of occupying forces. The protests were widespread, with thousands participating in affirming their rejection of normalization and their continued solidarity with the Palestinian community.

The Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine and Against Normalization has organized a rally in Tetouan to reinforce public commitment to the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that the defense of Palestine is a moral obligation, while normalization equates to betrayal.

In a similar vein, the National Union of Moroccan Students condemned Israel’s aggression against Gaza and violations of ceasefire arrangements. The union called for the suspension of all normalization agreements and urged proactive measures in support of Palestinian rights, expressing readiness to participate in demonstrations against normalization efforts.

Additionally, the Student Renewal Organization criticized the Moroccan authorities for their perceived complicity with Israel, stating that normalization reflects a departure from humanitarian principles and causes damage to the Muslim nation’s credibility. They called upon countries that have normalized relations with Israel to reconsider their stances, characterizing them as a source of shame and urging rejection of such diplomatic paths among free individuals who value the Palestinian cause.

The recent protests in Morocco highlight the public’s strong opposition to normalization with Israel amid ongoing violence against Palestinians. Citizens express unwavering solidarity with Palestine, calling for cessation of normalization and emphasizing the moral duty to support the Palestinian cause. Student unions and civic organizations are mobilizing for demonstrations, denouncing government complicity, and urging a broader reconsideration of normalized relations with Israel. This wave of activism reflects a deep commitment among the Moroccan populace to advocate for Palestinian rights.
