Up until his passing, he actively pursued his interests, recently sharing his ambitions for London Irish Rugby Football Club, where he had become Patron.
Born in Dublin on March 30, 1948, Eddie began his career in lower single-seater racing and later transitioned into driver management. He founded the well-known Jordan Grand Prix team, celebrated for its vibrant image and outperformance in F1, providing opportunities to drivers like Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill.
After selling the team in 2005, Eddie transitioned to a successful career as a TV pundit and commentator while also making significant investments across various sectors. He is survived by his wife Marie and their children, Zoe, Miki, Zak, and Kyle, and he will be deeply missed by fans and peers alike.
