The embassy facilitated necessary services, including medical attention and accommodation, and issued laissez-passer passports to allow for the return of these individuals to Iraq voluntarily. Al-Sahaf mentioned that previously, the embassy had successfully assisted in the release of dozens of Iraqi migrants in 2024 and early 2025.

He emphasized the embassy’s ongoing commitment to ensure the safe return of more migrants, urging young people to exercise caution against deceptive networks that pose risks to their safety. The embassy has also disseminated warnings via its official website and social media platforms, reinforcing the importance of vigilance among potential migrants as part of their efforts to provide support and protection.
