In January 2025, Colombia experienced a decrease in grey cement production, which fell by 5.9% year-on-year to 0.95 metric tons (Mt). The drop in production was accompanied by a 3.0% decline in domestic shipments, indicating a decline in demand within the construction market, as reported by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).

From February 2024 to January 2025, cumulative cement production totaled 13.3Mt, marking a year-on-year decrease of 5.7% compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.
