Consequently, due to restricted space and an influx of international guests, public attendance at the events will not be permitted.

Karin Matheus, a 45-year-old community member, articulated her disappointment, stating, “We wanted to see our president inaugurated.” Similarly, 34-year-old Elise Paulus expressed her frustration, remarking, “We are unhappy. We voted for her, we wanted to see her inaugurated.” The sentiment among community members reflects their desire for inclusivity during this significant national event.

Additionally, there were tensions at State House, where a scuffle reportedly occurred as some individuals were denied entry owing to capacity constraints. This incident highlights the challenges and frustrations of community members who wished to participate in the inauguration and celebrations.
