Jaishankar and Bolivia’s Foreign Minister Strengthen Bilateral Ties with New Agreements

On March 21, 2025, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Bolivia’s Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa Lunda convened to strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and Bolivia. The meeting resulted in the signing of agreements for Quick Impact Projects, aimed at enhancing cooperation following the inauguration of India’s new embassy in La Paz.
Jaishankar expressed his commitment to deepening India-Bolivia ties through a post on social media, stating, “The recent opening of our new Embassy in La Paz reflects our resolve to deepen the India-Bolivia partnership. Today’s signing of the agreement on Quick Impact Projects is another step forward in that direction.”
Earlier on the same day, Jaishankar met with Andre Aranha Correa do Lago, the President of COP30 Amazonia and former Brazilian Ambassador to India, to pledge India’s support for Brazil’s leadership of the upcoming COP30 summit. In his remarks, Jaishankar noted, “Glad to meet Andre Aranha Correa do Lago… Extended India’s full support to Brazil’s presidency for a successful and outcome-oriented COP30.”
