Nigeria Secures $14 Billion Investment from India and Enhances Diplomatic Relations

These countries include Germany, Saudi Arabia, China, and Equatorial Guinea, among others.
Tuggar further mentioned that the nomination process for ambassadors is nearing completion, with names set to be sent to the Senate for confirmation soon. He expressed confidence that despite delays in appointee confirmations, Nigeria’s diplomatic missions abroad are operational and include essential services such as immigration and military support.
Concerning Chinese visas, Tuggar clarified that Nigeria is not working with Chinese authorities for any arrests, attributing the complications to undocumented travel by certain Chinese nationals during the COVID-19 pandemic. On national security, he highlighted the significant progress made against Boko Haram, noting the establishment of a safe corridor in Borno for sorting and resettling suspected militants.
Tuggar took pride in Nigeria’s contributions to regional peacebuilding, citing efforts in Sierra Leone and Liberia. He stressed the necessity of acknowledging Nigeria’s accomplishments and learning from past experiences. He also discussed the evacuation of vulnerable infants from Gaza, explaining that the Ministry, in collaboration with the Red Cross and other nations like Jordan, Egypt, and the UAE, worked to ensure these children received necessary medical care.
