Vietnam regards Mozambique as a key partner in Africa, with plans to expand cooperation in various sectors. President Chapo congratulated Ambassador Thìn on her new position, expressing confidence in her role to enhance bilateral relations. He acknowledged the significant progress of their traditional friendship over the past fifty years, citing the success of Movitel, a joint venture between Vietnam’s Viettel Group and Mozambique’s SPI, as an example of this cooperation. Chapo hopes to see increased Vietnamese investments in Mozambique going forward.

Ambassador Thìn pledged to deepen the existing friendship and promote diverse cooperation, particularly in emerging sectors such as mining, telecommunications, and digital transformation. She invited the Mozambican government to support the Vietnamese community in Mozambique, enhancing ties between the two nations.

In her address, Thìn also expressed the best wishes from Party General Secretary Tô Lâm and State President Lương Cường to President Chapo on his recent election as Chairman of the Mozambique Liberation Front (Frelimo) and his inauguration. Additionally, she conveyed an invitation for President Chapo to visit Vietnam soon.
